The Point Mallard Skating School offers Learn To Skate classes
year round.  Whether you wish to skate for fun, become a figure skater, or learn to play hockey, the classes here at Point Mallard will provide you with the grassroots skills you need to succeed.  Each session lasts 8 weeks and costs $104.00.  A registration fee of $15.00 is due yearly, initially upon signing up and thereafter on or before August 1st of each year.  The registration fee includes membership with US Figure Skating Basic Skills Program, Basic Skills Record Book and a membership patch.  
 
Cost for the classes includes the use of rental skates, 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of practice time.  Students are grouped by level as well as age range.  Skaters ranging in age from Tots (3-4 years old) to Adults may register for classes.  Make-up classes are available throughout the current class session by class substitution.  There will be no carry over classes to the next term.  Testing will be done the last two weeks of the term.

Wednesday      5:30 pm-7:00pm                 
Thursday         5:15 p.m.-6:15 p.m.
Friday              1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.
Saturday          9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m.
 
 
 
Skaters are encouraged to wear gloves, a sweatshirt, long pants and one pair of socks.  There is nothing more discouraging than a skater that is cold and wet and not enjoying classes.  It's always best to arrive at class at least 10-15 minutes in advance to allow for proper stretching before stepping on the ice.
 
 
Discounts and Coupons
1.  Two or more immediate family members will receive 1 free class each, if you pay in full by the beginning of the term.
 
2.  You will receive a punch card for 6 free freestyles (practice sessions), if you pay in full by the beginning of the term.  Cards expire at the end of each term.
 
3.  Friday (1:30-2:30p.m.) classes will receive 1 free class, if you pay in full by the beginning of the term.
 
4.  Immediate family members can skate Class Practice Ice if they pay $3.00 (includes skate rental)
 
5.  Bring a friend the second week of classes for FREE.
 
DISCOUNTS 1 and 3 do not combine.
